Vector Vortex is designed for off-road riding in mountains, forest or fields where other bikes would suffer from overheating or lack of power. The bike was tested with 150 kg load on extreme hills in Alps and proved it can overcome any terrain! Due to motor mounting location bike has perfect weight balance and has constant chain tension, no matter if rear suspension is loaded or not! Using relatively low RPM motor together with sin wave speed controller we achieved completely silent drivetrain! You can ride day and night without even being noticed!
In just 5 minutes you can swap rear sprocket for smaller or bigger size sprocket and get higher max speed or faster acceleration, you can tune this bike to the new riding style simple and easy! With 10.000 Watt peak power and 59 kg weight you get X20 higher power/weight ratio than standard e-MTB brands manufacturers. Acceleration from 0 to 50 km/h in under 3 seconds! You can do wheelie or power slides as much as you want! While others must use extra reduction gears or very small front sprockets to get enough torque on a rear wheel, Vortex has plenty of torque all the way. Direct gear from motor to rear wheel – high efficiency and durability! Without using small front sprocket our e-bike stays silent even on a high speed!
Vortex has direct chain connection between motor and rear wheel. It means that bike can benefit from regenerative braking and react to rider's command instantaneously as chain tension is present all the time. In 90% braking situations regenerative braking is enough to lower your speed without even using mechanical brakes! You can adjust force of regenerative braking in seconds with help of mobile phone, or turn it off completely. Regenerative braking not only saves your brake pads but also returns up to 30% of energy back to battery! Bike is also equipped with unique double calipers front braking system for extreme braking performance at high speed, and 4 piston hydraulic rear brake for maximum braking force when it’s needed!
Vortex e-bike is equipped with air fork and rear shock of high travel that makes your off-road riding as predictable and comfortable as possible. You can adjust preload, rebound, compression both front and rear to match your preferences! Frame geometry allows you to keep natural body position, thus avoiding back or neck pain after riding even on extreme terrains.
We did Alps trail testing to find out the actual range of Vortex e-bike on one charge. This test proved that on a single charge the bike can make over 90 km of aggressive off-road driving with over 4.500 meter elevation gain! This record-breaking performance became possible due to high efficiency of the drivetrain.
Tubular design of the frame was constructed with X3 load potential to make sure it can go through the hardest terrain. Frame is strong enough for 2 persons riding, so you can give a ride to your friend or partner. Compared to other brands of frames from metal sheets, Vortex frame has greater stiffness. In case of fall side covers can be replaced within few minutes as they don’t carry any structural load and are made of light and inexpensive material. Your bike will look like new with new set of side covers even after years of riding! Chassis and rear swingarm are made of high-grade, high-tensile steel. All stressed parts are FEM-analyzed and stress-tested. Frame is painted with powder coating and is well protected against the water, so rain, snow or ice won’t stop you.
State of the art battery consists of 300 separate Li-Ion Panasonic 18650 PF and Samsung 25R cells, providing the best price/capacity/discharge current ratio. The same cells are used by Tesla for S and X models! With a weight of only 14.9 kg/34 lbs it provides 3.2 kWh of energy - enough to charge your smartphone battery over 200 times! Due to smart Battery Management System (BMS) the battery can handle more than 600 charging cycles before it loses only 20% of its initial capacity. And 600 cycles are equivalent to 60.000 km! The battery can be replaced. The BMS system keeps tracking every cell and checks voltage, current and temperature. It protects battery from overcharging, overdischarging, short cirquits, overheating, and can balance the cells when it is needed! Each battery goes through series of tests and is checked for overcharging/discharging protection as well as vibration testing before being installed on the bike! Range of travel is no longer an issue. The Vector can be re-charged from 0 to 100 percent in 120 minutes – from a standard outlet.
For the best riding experience we recommend to check air pressure, bolts, brakes, spokes, and chain before every ride. Every 10 hours of riding off-road we recommend to clean and lubricate the chain. Every year or every 50-100 hours of riding we recommend to do a fork, shock, and brakes service to ensure long life of bike components. Service can be done in any local bike store.
