Overview
The Vector Storm is designed as light e-bike for comfort commute and trail riding in forest. Bike can be equipped with 1kW mid drive motor or 3kW rear hub motor. Bike has comfortable sit position and can be pedaled as normal bicycle! Due to its shape it does not attract extra attention and can be taken to the places where other e-bikes are not allowed.
Performance
Bike can be built with mid drive motor for good climbing or hub motor for high speed riding style. For slower rides in high hills and mountains mid drive motors is better choice, and for fast riding on low hills high RPM hub motor will bring more performance. Bike can reach over 50km/h top speed and stay stable due to low center of gravity and stiff frame.
Frame
The light weight frame design with additional structural strength components for extra rigidity The chassis and rear swingarm are made out of high-grade, high-tensile steel. All stressed-parts are FEM analyzed and stress-tested on benches. Battery and all the electronics located inside the frame and protected from physical damage. Frame is painted with powder coating and well protected against the water, so rain or snow or ice won’t stop you.
Control
With a hub motor Storm has regenerative braking every time you touch the brake leaver. You can set the level of braking force or turn it off completely when it is needed. Bike is also equipped with best in class Double calipers front braking system and 4 piston hydraulic brake at rear for superb braking performance! Regenerative braking with powerful hydraulic brakes gives you maximum control in any situation!
Range
Storm is very energy efficient bike for long distance rides and on a single charge you can make over 100 km without pedaling on 35km/h speed. You can also pedal it as any other e-bike or even turn off motor completely and ride it as non-electric bicycle where it is necessary! The battery can be re-charged from 0 to 100 percent in 120 minutes – from a standard outlet.
Technologies
State of the art battery consists of 100 separate Li-Ion Panasonic 18650 PF, providing the best price/capacity/discharge current ratio. Same cells Tesla uses for their S and X models! With a weight of only 4.9kg it is providing 1 kWh of energy! Due to smart Battery Management System the battery can handle more than 600 charging cycles before battery remain 80% of its initial capacity. 600 cycles are equivalent of 60000km! The battery can be replaced. The BMS system keeps tracking every cell and checks voltage, current and temperature. BMS protects battery from over-charging, over-discharging, short circuits, overheating, and can balance the cells when it is needed! Each battery goes through series of tests and is checked for overcharging/discharging protection as well as vibration testing before it will be installed on the bike!
